A little Polka Dot

I love this little button up, orange t-shirt, polka dot dress because it's a little bit of casual and a little bit of fun. I've had it in my closet for about a year (maybe 2) and this is just the 2nd time I've worn it.  It felt like new again.  This season has really allowed us to play with every color, pattern and mix matching of different textiles, colors to prints.  I remember when Fashion had a "rule" now it's all about being an individual and expressing who you are on the inside out.  I say, take that challenge and have lots of fun with it. I look forward to dressing up everyday and going through my Dollhouse to see what I can put together... These are photos from yesterday and I'm already excited about today.

I also got a call late last night about an EXCITING new project and I'm so happy. I can't announce it just yet but wow, when one door closes, another opens right up, so don't ever give up hope.  God is always watching out for us and of course, already knows how it's going to be.  Anyway, I have a business meeting on Thursday and you know I'm already thinking ahead.. What to wear? ...  To be continued.....

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Feeling a little Peachy

Today is such a beautiful day.  Had a few Dr's appointments, errands to run and Aidan's recital rehearsal to attend to.  I also visited Sears to grab some household amenities so I had a chance to see what the new arrivals were from the Kardashian Kollection. They have this black one piece Surplice Romper that was very cute and perfect for the summer. I didn't get it yet but perhaps I'll go back and get it along with the Kim Sexy and Curvy denim. That's my favorite pair of jeans from the Kollection.

Today I decided on this fun and flirty peach dress from H&M because its so feminine and sexy with just the right pair of nude heels.  Since I was going to be doing a lot of walking, I went with my vintage pumps.  I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

At Aidan's Dr's office waiting patiently. He asked if he can take a photo of me.
He's become quite the photographer!
(btw, I switched to my Nine West nude heels. I keep this one in my car)
I loved this little Surplice Romper for the summer from Sears (Yes, that's Aidan laying in the back lol)

Happy Friday!

Summer Fashion Tips....

Summer is truly here. Living in SoCal, it's usually always warm but during these summer days, especially where I live, it can get up to the 100's and higher.  It can be a challenge sometimes to dress up and go outside because you just want to curl up with the air conditioner and do nothing.  I've had the opportunity to do quite a bit of shopping these last few weeks because my sister is in town and we've been searching for a dress for a wedding she is attending.  It's been fun to play in the dressing room and pick up a few amazing pieces for the upcoming summer days.  I've been playing around with lots of colors and patterns.  This year is truly the year for "Tangerine" and I have quite a few pieces in my wardrobe from the dress to the shoes and handbags.

As summer approaches, the colors are basically staying the same except that you'll start to see more neons and floral prints. Parachute or harem pants and loose tee or tank tops are also fun and free for this warm heat we'll have. Pair a patterned or plain black parachute or harem pants with an oversized plain white v-neck slightly tucked in with your hair pulled up.  You can wear a pair of thin strappy sandal or some espadrilles to complete the look.  A cross over bag or a medium size handbag will complete the whole ensemble.

Neon green and pink are also very hot this summer.  Wear a bright accent color with your accessories such as shoes, clutches or earrings to bangles or nail polish.  Have fun with the summer heat but dress cool, hip and trendy as well.

The Dressing Room - H&M

Come with me inside the dressing room as I shop! I don't always buy everything but sometimes I specifically choose items that makes sense so I can show you how to put them together.  As you know, we are not allowed to bring accessories into the dressing room so you'll notice that it's usually the same jewelry pieces that I was already wearing for the day.  Keep in mind that everyone's body is different and we all have our own style and taste. These just happens to be mine and if you like something I'm wearing then by all means, go for it.. Have fun and take some risks!

These were shot at H&M at South Coast Plaza. There are so many wonderful shops at that mall and if you are not from the SoCal area, SCP is a Designer Mall (Think indoor Rodeo Drive). I love this mall and I usually go there when I'm ready for my next Chanel, LV, Gucci or to get Prince a gift from Giorgio Armani.  I also go there for Zara, Steve Madden and Mango.

I was meeting a friend close by so Prince and I decided to drop by SCP for a little "Dressing Room" fun....  Enjoy!

More to come from ZARA!
